Dominique Piqugard, MTA has been studying music and the voice for over 20 years. She sung in choirs as a child since 8 years old and took years of voice and piano lessons growing up. She continued to study in Montreal with a private jazz voice teachers, who motivated her to study Classical Voice through Vanier College and to get her BFA from York University that focused her studies on vocal cultures from around the world. In 2014, she pursued a Graduate Certificate in Music Therapy from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, and took her certification exam. Dominique is a certified music therapist (*MTA) in Moncton, NB, with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT), it’s Atlantic branch, the Atlantic Association of Music Therapy (AAMT), and with the Certified Board of Music Therapists (CBMT) in the United States, as a music therapist-board certified (MT-BC). Dominique Piqugard’s continued education includes her certification in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) she got in May 2016.
She is a team of one for now, and hopes to bring more quality music therapy services and therapists to South-Eastern New-Brunswick.
